First off, apologies for not being more active in the community but I hope everybody is doing well!

But here is something that might hopefully cheer you all up!

From now until May 6, 2011 The Sims Medieval (direct download ONLY) is 50% off, you can get it for $24.98 here.

Hope everybody is simming well & looking forward to the latest expansion pack, The Sims Generations, being released at the end of May.

Do you know if the download will also work with the Mac? The system requirements seem to only list Windows versions.

Looking through the store I see all the PC games listed as PC's nothing listed as Mac but on another site I found Mac specs for the game:

MAC MINIMUM System Requirements
• Operating System: 10.5.8 Leopard OR higher
• Processor: Intel Core Duo 2.0 GHz
• RAM: 2 GB
• Video/Graphics Card: ATI X1600, nVidia 7300 GT with 256 MB video RAM, Intel integrated/built-in GMA X3100
• Hard Drive: 6.3 GB free space

ADDITIONAL Compatibility/Requirements NOTES
• Mac PowerPC G3, G4, G5 computers are NOT compatible with The Sims Medieval
• Intel GMA 950 integrated graphics cards are NOT compatible with this game
• nVidia ION computers REQUIRE a MINIMUM of 2 GB of RAM to play The Sims Medieval
• Some integrated/built-in graphics cards will not be properly recognized by the game and will default to higher graphic settings than supported. Please manually adjust your in-game graphics settings to fix this issue

Thanks, I will try to figure out later if my system meets those requirements.

The other question I have that isn't immediately clear to me - is Medieval an expansion pack for Sims 3 or a separate game? The retail price seems high for an expansion pack.

Trust me, the download DOES NOT work on mac.
You have to download the "application" which is .exe only.

I swear not a penny more from me until they are less Mac hostile.
