Want to start a discovery, "did you know" post for things you've discovered in your game.

You can change the color of the fire in the fireplace!(Just click the fireplace, then Change color..)

You can change the color of light bulbs!(Just click the lamp, then Change color..)

You can find gems, metals and meteorites along with the insects and seeds.

If you write a novel, you can find it in the library and sometimes at the book store for sale & you get to name your novel & get royalties each week

You can go in the catacombs at the cemetery and find gems, etc if you don't get scared or injured

You can throw parties at community sites. The beach party gives your Sims a beautiful vista moodlet

You have to buy the bubble bath at the store to be able to take a bubble bath

If you join the book club for a one time lifetime fee you get sent book in the mail every week instead of needing to purchase them at the store

If you buy a recipe, only 1 Sim can read and learn it then the book disappears

You can join tournaments like the food eating one, the grilling one or a chess one

You can set a door to be front door which will then be the door all visitor come through

If you're on fire, you can extinguish yourself in the shower.

You can engrave epitaphs on gravestones

You can name the stuffed bears (and put them in cribs)

Your Sim can tour the theater

A Daredevil Sim does a lot of things "Extreme"-takes an extreme shower and gets extremely clean, sleeps extreme too! The effects last longer.

When you throw a house party, some of the people you invite will bring over food and/or entertainment

If you buy a rubber ducky at the grocery store, the sims will play with it when they take a bath

You can WooHoo in the Movie Theater if you tour the theater with another Sim. Might work for other venues as well.

You can have a part-time job at the Spa, Grocery Store, Bookstore and Cemetery. Might be another one I'm missing.

In the medical career if you get about midway through you are given a pager and can be called into work at any hour for an emergency (same for law enforcement).

When you first move into a house, you have a chance to get a special challenge such as living on an ancient burial ground or cleaning up after a meteor shower

You can leave work to fulfill needs, or complete an opportunity, then go back to work.
