Your first sim

What sim are you going to create first in Sims 3? And with the new personality traits what traits are you going to pick for your sim?

I must admit my first sim I'm going to create for Sims 3 is a sim me! I'm going to try and make her as close to me as possible.

The traits I choose are:

Computer Whiz
Loner (this one may change)
Friendly
Hopeless Romantic
Brave or Great Kisser

Is there anybody out there going to create challenges like the Legacy challenge?

I mean... with the exception of having to find a new way to reroll a totally random character (roll for traits instead of aspiration), I imagine alot of the same rules from the old Legacy Challenge would still work, ya know? :)

Is there an option to roll random? When I rpg'd online I'd go back to old school if I wanted random stats... I took out all my trust D&D dice! lol

I would love to do a legacy challenge, but should the rules be updated for Sims 3 or would the old rule still apply?

I hear ya, real vs sims. I just may make 1 of each. One the real me, and the sims I wish I was me!

I'm excited about Sims 3, so finding an outlet to TALK About this (instead of just in my journal) is good. :D

I want to make an evil sim, badly.

I read reports from London and Manchester from.. monday, I think, where a bunch of lucky ducks got to play for two hours..

Evil Sims do everything evilly.. they dream evil dreams, they use evil soap, they take evil showers, and they can practice their World Domination speech in the mirror.

I'll probably do a klepto as well. :D

I was thinking of The Odd Couple, an old TV show. Oscar and Felix, two very different guys living together.

But as an actual couple.. well, I imagine that would be a difficult couple to play, probably quite a challenge. :D

Make one a cop, make one a criminal.. you can have all sorts of story telling fun with THAT! :D

Beyond a Legacy Challenge they should make variations, like this idea we just had ^_^

You know what would be kinda cool, the mooch challenge. :D

Make one of your Sims a mooch. Buy an empty house, no furniture. Then see how far you can push it by mooching for money or other things. That is, use none of your own money to buy anything, just your ability to mooch. ;D

For a double whammy, be a Mooch and Klepto ;D

I dunno if the Slobby/Neat combo would be as big a deal. I mean, that's pretty Sims 2, I'd think.
But.. who knows? I could be wrong! :D

I can imagine the Neat Sim sighing in disgust and cleaning after the Messy Sim AGAIN!

I love giving the sims free reign. I like to write stories and in my Sims 2, I'd give them free reign then write them up in a story with what they did. They can be my muse sometimes.

Same. If I have any 'fandom', it's my Sims. I've already half-written the story of some of my Sims 2 sims, a girl I accidentally called Benjamin (I'll swear the game glitched, and that I didn't misread a Female sign as a Male sign, but whatever...) and her love affair with her neighbor whose name I forget now...

I, too, love to give my Sims SOME free reign and see what they want to do on their own. Though... the AI could be a bit dumb in Sims 2, so I'm REALLY hoping it's better int his game.

I also like that fact. That means that if I get bored with a family, and trying to play the challenge that is them, for a while, I can abandon them for a while and they'll take care of themselves, without me!

I already think that, at first, i'm going to extend the Sims lives to 'long' and try to play a little bit of this sim and a little bit of that sim, trying to make the whole neighborhood, as a whole, grow without getting too hung up on any one sim.

But we'll see. :D

You know now that I think about this I can write in reverse. I already have characters I write about, turn them into Sims and see where their lives go.

I believe the official site suggested that at any time.

So.. you could make Harry Potter Sims (Let's see.. harry.. Charismatic, Daredevil, Lucky.. what else?) or Stargate Sims or.. really, any Sims! :D

Personally, I try not to delve too much into designing famous characters. I'll probably make my wife and I, but past that... meh. I'd rather play with the game than try to match such and such a person and see what they do.

It's less work, too, in CAS ;)

Actually the character on my Broken icon is a fanart drawing of Roy Mustang from the anime Fullmetal Alchemist.

My knowledge of Anime is somewhat limited. :) It's OK, but not a big thing for me. :)
